Best Practices for Crypto Transactions
Crypto transactions are permanent and irreversible, which makes security especially important. Once a withdrawal is processed on-chain, it cannot be reversed — even by GalaxyOne. Following the steps below can help you protect your digital assets.
1. Use Reputable Platforms
Only withdraw crypto to wallets you personally control or to verified, trusted destinations.
Whenever possible, enable withdrawal whitelists so funds can only be sent to pre-approved wallet addresses.
2. Confirm Wallet Addresses
Be aware that malware or browser extensions can alter copied addresses. Always double-check before sending.
Verify the first and last few characters of the wallet address against your intended destination.
Ensure you are sending an asset that the destination wallet can fully support.
Even a single typo in a wallet address can lead to irreversible loss of funds.
3. Watch for Crypto-Specific Scams
Stay alert for common crypto-related scams, including:
Fake investment platforms or “guaranteed return” offers
Romance or relationship scams
Phishing links disguised as NFT drops or token airdrops
Fraudulent “wallet support” representatives
Anyone online asking you to transfer or verify crypto
If someone you don’t know requests a crypto transfer, it is almost certainly a scam.
