How do I send an outbound wire transfer?
Wire transfers let you send funds directly from your GalaxyOne Cash account to an external bank account. Wires are processed on U.S. business days through the Federal Reserve's FedWire network.
What you'll need
Have the following details from your recipient's bank ready before you begin:
| Field | Details |
| Beneficiary name | The name on the recipient bank account |
| Bank name and address | The full name and address of the receiving bank |
| Routing number | 9-digit ABA routing number |
| Account Number | The recipient's bank account number |
| Purpose/Memo | Description of the wire purpose |
How to send a wire
- Go to Transfer > Withdraw > Cash > Wire transfer.
- Select a saved recipient, or select "Add recipient" to enter new banking details.
- Enter the amount and purpose for the wire.
- Review the transfer details on the confirmation screen.
- Complete email two-factor authentication (2FA), select "Verify" and "Submit".
Once submitted, a hold is placed on your funds while the transfer request is processed.
Wire transfers cannot be reversed once sent. GalaxyOne will never ask you to send a wire to an unfamiliar recipient. If you're unsure about a transfer, contact Client Services before submitting.
Are there any fees or limits?
- Outbound wires can only be sent to a US bank account; international wires are not supported.
- A $12 fee applies per wire transfer. This fee is waived if your total assets across all GalaxyOne accounts are $50,000 or more.
- Transfer limits by account type:
- Individual: $100 minimum + $12 fee = $112 minimum cash balance required to initiate a wire; $250,000 maximum per day
- Business: $500 minimum + $12 fee = $512 minimum cash balance required to initiate a wire; $1,000,000 maximum per day
